To Ra Helen L. Fountain ENGL 1010-4G October 21, 2014 Revenge of Medea Medea was such a different woman and people in her society were afraid of her, including men. As a result of this, before Jason, she never experienced being in love. When she finally experienced this type of love she went to no end for Jason. To protect Jason and her love for him she killed the beast guarding the Golden Fleece, she killed her brother, and she left her home, family and everything she knew for him. Most women would not have gone that far for love, especially women during her time; but Medea was not your average woman. All of the things she did for Jason. But start when Jason betray her, all the bad feeling coming. Medea is a story about love,†¦show more content†¦Being a stranger is hard and when your love one betray is harder. She also said to the woman of the Corinth, â€Å" You have this city, your father’s home. I’m alone; I have no city; now my husband insults me.† (Pg. 25, line. 5-8). She said her family gone and she does not have anyone to lean on. The only person she has was her husband but now her husband going to leave her and marry another woman. She had betrayed her father because of Jason. She did everything for Jason. So she does not have family to return. This is very emotional because when we feel sad, we just need someone to talk to or someone who with us to encourage us. But Medea was in another country with different culture and believes. She said in the country where she from â€Å"if a man grows tired of the company at home, he can go out, and find a cure for tediousness. We wives are forced to look to one man only.† (pg. 24, line. 30-3 2). For her she rather die instead of seeing her husband leaving her and she wants only her husband to her and no other woman between her and Jason. This is what Medea said to the woman of Corinth â€Å" If I can find a way to work revenge on Jason for his wrongs to me, say nothing.† (Pg. 25, line 11-13). She said that because he’s the only person she has and she has no one to help her and no justices to help her. And if Jason leaves her she has no one to return to.
